Consulting, Management, Operations, and Maintenance Services for Water Supply Systems.

Aguas de Valencia Internacional is participating in the Consultancy, Management, Operations, and Maintenance Service Contracts for the water supply systems of Malanje, Uíge, and Cuanza Norte in northern Angola.

The project, promoted by the Ministry of Energy and Water of Angola with a duration of five years, is funded by the World Bank and the French Development Agency (AFD).

 

Project Objectives

The purpose of the contract is to strengthen and professionalize the management of public water utilities, ensuring a quality and sustainable service for the population. Key objectives include:

  • Transforming public utilities into financially independent and technically sustainable entities.
  • Ensuring the continuity and quality of water supply in Malanje, Uíge, and N’dalatando.
  • Supervising the proper execution of operation and maintenance contracts.
  • Improving efficiency in production, billing, collections, and revenue.
  • Consolidating organizational structures and internal processes, driving business management and strategic planning.
  • Guaranteeing satisfactory annual financial audits and a minimum cost recovery of 80%.
  • Driving robust and effective commercial management.
  • Promoting capacity building and knowledge transfer to local staff.
  • Measuring and monitoring performance through 9 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) covering operational, commercial, financial, and quality aspects.

 

Our Team

The project relies on a multidisciplinary team comprised of 21 international specialists with extensive experience in the water sector. Their areas of expertise include operations, commercial cycle, finance, human resources, social mobilization, and information technology.

The initiative integrates a multicultural team with professionals from Angola, Portugal, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, and other countries, providing a global perspective and proven experience.
